Magnetically Levitated, or Maglev, turbo pumps are designed for high pressure, high throughput and robust pumping needed for industrial applications such as semiconductor, flat panel display, coating, photovoltaic and other similar applications.   The use of magnetically levitated bearings means that these types of pumps require little maintenance and display a high degree of robustness against particulates and other contamination.
